  • Has done his Residency in  Psychiatry at the Medical College of Pennsylvania and Yale University Medical School

  • Was Instructor at the Department of Psychiatry, Yale University

  • Clinical Associate Professor at the Department of Psychiatry, University of Vermont and

  • Clinical Assistant  Professor at the Department of Psychiatry, University of Massachusetts

  • He was Medical Director at the Department of Psychiatry, Penobscot Bay Medical Center, Rockport, Maine,

  • Medical Director for the Inpatient Services at the Department of Psychiatry, Maine Medical Center, Portland, Maine, and

  • Attending Psychiatrist, UMass Memorial Medical Group, MA,

  • Has worked as a Psychiatrist in New Zealand, Australia and Germany.

Amy Carabay- Office Administrator

Amy was born and raised in the Central Valley. She relocated to the Central Coast two years ago with her family. She has over 5 years of Office Management experience working in the medical industry. Amy enjoys going to the beach, traveling, and spending quality time with her loved ones.

Carrie Kieta- Biller

Carrie was born and raised in California. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Business Management and certification in Medical billing. She enjoys spending time with her two boys and taking care of her horses.

Viri Carrasco -Support Staff

Viri has been working as an office assistant for a couple of years now. She loves what she does and enjoys helping her patients with forms and paperwork. On her spare time she loves to play with her dog Simba and take him out for walks.

Tamara Ganjai- Support Staff

Tamara has 15 years of clerical experience in the medical industry. She truly enjoys interacting with patients and their loved ones. She takes pride in being part of a team that strives to make a difference in people's lives. In her spare time she enjoys traveling up and down the beautiful Central Coast, going to the beach and taking long walks at sunset with her family.

Dr. Donald A. Balun -Psychiatrist

Dr. Donald A. Balun, Jr. is a board-certified Adult Psychiatrist with Child and Adolescent training. Originally from Fresno, California, he received his B.S. Degree in Business Administration from California State University Fresno. After graduating from CSUF, he worked in bank management but soon realized that banking was not his passion. He and his family moved to the East Coast to realize his life-long dream of attending medical school. Dr.

Amanda Selman, RN

Amanda Selman has lived on the Central Coast for many years after attending and graduating from Cal Poly. She also graduated from Cuesta College’s Registered Nursing program and has worked in both local hospitals and in the behavioral health setting since 2006. Amanda is finishing a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner program and will graduate in the winter of 2019. Amanda enjoys spending time with her family, friends and various pets.
